Leave Guru: Mobile App and Web Site

UX and visual design for Leave Guru's medical absence management platform — the mobile app for patients and partners, and the marketing site that drives downloads and trust.

Client: Leave Guru
Role: UX/UI design — mobile app and web

TL;DR

I designed UX and visual experiences for Leave Guru’s medical absence management platform: the mobile app that lets patients and family members submit and track leave requests, and the marketing website that explains the product and drives app downloads.

Scope

Leave Guru needed a cohesive experience across mobile and web:

  • Mobile app — Intuitive flows for selecting the correct forms (patient vs. partner), submitting requests, and tracking status (forms completed, under review, fax in progress, completed).
  • Web site — Clear messaging (“We Make Leave a Breeze”), feature highlights (effortless form submission, swift processing, HIPAA-compliant security), and a strong call-to-action to download the app.

Both had to feel like one brand: professional, calm, and trustworthy for a healthcare context.

Mobile app

The app guides users through role selection (patient vs. partner), form completion, and status tracking. Key screens included leave request lists with clear status indicators, a “Select Form” step with simple role cards, and completion states that reinforce confidence. The goal was to make FMLA and disability paperwork feel manageable instead of overwhelming.

Web site

The marketing site introduced the product with a hero section, welcome copy, and feature blocks (effortless submission, swift processing, confidentiality and security, patient-centric experience). A “Get Started” section with app download CTA and a consistent footer tied the experience together and supported the mobile launch.
